One Hand
Clapping Records
An invented record label, and the deep, interconnected universe it keeps.
One Hand Clapping Records is a record label for bands that do not, in the ordinary sense, exist — and that are, in every sense that matters here, completely real. Thirty-odd acts across folk and soul and metal and chanson and K-pop and exotica and stranger weather, each with a history, a roster, a voice, and a place on the same shelf.
The house rule is simple and absolute: treat every band as if it were a real working musician, because in here it is. We do not wink. We do not explain the trick. We keep the world true to itself, file every version of it, and let you wander.
The records are made; the booklets are real; the lore connects. Some albums are out now, some are coming, and a few are canonically lost — hurled into the sea or the stars, out of print before most ears arrived. Scarcity and mystery are not gaps. They are the brand.
Created by Simon Oré Molina
Every record on the label is produced by Simon Oré Molina, and kept — findable, shelved beside the right neighbours, true tomorrow — by the label's archivist. The motto is borrowed, the universe is built, and the door is open.
